We wanted to give you an update about what Wassman CPA Services is doing for the health and safety of our employees and clients in response to all this is happening with COVID-19.
This filing season is unlike anything we have experienced. Our office interacts daily with several clients, which puts us and the clients at risk. Considering the news of how quickly the virus can spread and the push for social distancing, we are eliminating our face-to-face interactions through the end of March. At the end of March, we will reassess whether we can open the office back to full functionality.
We ask that you allow us to securely email your returns to you and for you to pick up the hard copy and tax information you provided at a later date; or allow us to mail it all to you. The signature forms can be returned via secure email, fax, or mail.
We will still be working to get your information to you as quick as possible even with the IRS postponing payment and filing deadline for individual returns to July 15, 2020. But with this deadline in mind, we are no longer going to work 90+ hours/7 days a week to do this. We are reducing work hours so that all staff can properly rest to stay healthy.
If you need to drop off documents, we will have a drop box outside the door from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday. We will be checking this regularly; however, please either knock on the door to let us know you dropped off or give us a call as soon as you drop the information so that we can make sure to grab it. We will be available via phone calls or email to help answer any questions you may have or to discuss any return outcomes.
If this is the first time reading our blog you should consider signing up for our newsletter. Then you can have our communications delivered directly to your email.
We will be posting regular updates about our hours, as well as, the latest news on deadlines and stimulus information. There are many discussions right now that have not been finalized. Our goal is to only post once the final regulations are issued.
Thank you for your support through the years and your understanding in the current environment.
We hope you and your family stay healthy and safe.
