I wanted to take a minute to address our clients. First I want to say thank you for the support through the years and especially this difficult tax season. I want to thank our new clients for being so understanding through this strange time. Also, I want to thank all the other essential workers for all of their hard work. Just as you can’t see everything we are doing, we can’t see everything they are going through.
This year, I think we can all say has been unlike any other. The idea for many of you having to stay home, and the idea for us a tax season being twice as long, can be frustrating.
Many of you I’ve met with through the years. You know how much I and my staff put into a tax season. We work 90+ hours from February to April 15 to try to get everybody’s returns filed on time. Typically, what helps get us through the long hours the first part of April is knowing we get a day of rest on April 16. Fast forward to this year, I don’t know when that break is coming.
My business partner, Kimberly, and I continue to work between 80 and 90 hours a week. We want to get everybody their information as quick as we can. That being said, over half of our days we spend helping everybody understand the new laws and relief available to them. This is delaying our normal tax season and audit work.
So, I’m asking for you to continue to be patient. Kim and I will still be working long hours as will some of our staff. We are working as quick as we can to get you the finished returns or financial statements.
Thank you again for your support and trust as we all are doing our best.
